// PLACE SETTING MAGIC//

IMG_2430.jpg

Funnest part of the event set up (besides installations and other crazy ideas we do) is by far the table top set up. I know its not "crazy " or maybe sophisticated, but its one of those elements in the event that ties in everything and has a very important role.

Why you ask?  Let's think about this for a second -  as guestsenter the venue, event/ceremony space, they e are allocated a space by the hosts ~ that is the area where the hosts put that cherry on top of the whole concept. Ribbons, Napkin rings, Menus, Favors, Gifts of sorts, Custom Details etc... The host usually want to give you something for coming to their wedding/event, they place some sort of a personal design detail eitherfor you to take, to taste,  or to experience. That is why it so special - you can experience the thank you and the night it self with literally all your senses. Here are some examples:

 How about a Blush Candy Apple for you to munch on after the dance floor gets packed???

One Last look at 2016

As we are about to head towards a crazy packed weekend of meeting new brides, meeting new vendors and seeing old friends, seeing some of the new collections of upcoming Bridal Lines, I think its the best time to look back ( even just for a quick second) and literally engulf yourself in the beauty of your memories. Not ponder, not sit in nostalgia, but literally just enjoy what has happened, and be so oh fully aware of where you have come to - till this point. Bravo. To all of you. 2017 feels good doesn't it?

Here is a look at some of our work from last year, its wonderful, its magical really truly. And every time I sit here and scroll through pictures, you know what I see? You know what I remember?  I remember the inside jokes me and Olya cracked up to keep us going, the crazy amount of coffees and teas consumed during that season, the 1 am crazy texts to my team mates and the wild set ups, the fun (and super stupid, and for real hallucinating tear-downs) I can never forget the bajillion amounts of selfies and of course videos taken (that I hope never see the light of day), ah now those are the days, those are moments no one can ever write into a reality show.

And I wouldn't change it for the world, we need more memories like this 2017, you hear?

//COFFEE MONSTER//

Don't get me wrong, I love mornings, I really do.

Its that fresh start, that feeling of peace that you only get at sunrise or sunset I think. For the longest time I was a night owl ( I still am I just value my time and sanity now) Maybe its an age thing ( yes I went there) but there is something about gathering your thoughts, especially creative thoughts in the early morning with a cup of Lavazza Coffee French Press .

I have read this beautiful quote by Elsie De Wolfe "“I am going to make everything around me beautiful - that will be my life.”  It forever changed my life. I mean why should something as ordinary as drinking coffee in the morning be undercut? so I pour my coffee into my Fine China Glazed teacup and enjoy lifting my pinky up as I should. My favorite China is my mom's Lomonosov Porcelain - it is super thin and fine, a total heaven to drink from, pictures are below for you to see and enjoy.

So however your morning is, find a little joy and beauty in it, sip out of your most beautiful china,  enjoy that hot java and get motivated. Its another morning, another day and opportunity to make something beautiful, to laugh and smile and to enjoy life to the fullest.

How about that 2017?? I think I got you covered.

BOTTEGA GOLD INSPIRED TABLE TOP

We love GOLD. okay I love gold. I also love roses and the colour red, so this table top spoke to me, vividly.

I have started this design knowing that we would be welcoming the year of the Rooster as well as I try to never stray away from Red and Gold for Christmas. These colours speak to me, they represent love, family, passion and compassion and a bit of sass.  So I have started with Red Crushed Velvet linen, gold charger plates, white and vintage plates finish the table setting. Always a water goblet, wine and a skinny champagne flutes.

My "recipe" for the table top was as such:

FERRERO ROCHE + BOTTEGA GOLD + CRUSHED VELVET = DRAMA + BRIGHTNESS

My flowers of course were a mix of holiday greens, blush Ohara Roses, Quicksand Roses, Titanic Roses,  red Christmas ornaments (small and large) Candles in gold mercury votives, and some White Tapered candles in silver antler candle holders.

I will enclose pictures and some videos, (please dont mind my socks as Iwas shooting and my doggy Zoe)  and the best part of it is that family and friends could eat chocolates NON STOP, and that was totally the point. Laughter, Love, Warm hugs and warm fireplace, it was a total dream. I can't wait for the New Years Table Set up!!!

PS: I love Pentatonix
