Holiday Theme Weddings Are Total Chic

5 WAYS TO HAVE YOUR HOLIDAY WEDDING LOOKING CHIC AND MODERN:

I wanted to do a shoot in the “Holiday theme” for a a very long time. If you don’t know me yet, here is a hint, the moment I get an idea I must execute it ( so that was enough of a reason) but the second more important reason actually was my clients. My clients who come across very skeptical having their weddings looking “like” the holidays. There would be the usual comments -” add the reds but not too Christmasy red”, and “make sure we don’t have too much Christmas Greenery”, or “no Berries, no Magnolia leaves or Poinsettias”, and of course “ it can’t be looking cheesy with ornaments and lights!” and so on and so on. So I thought, wait a second, the Holidays are the perfect time for gathering, family and friends and most of all CELEBRATIONS.

That is when we really ( and I mean REALLY) want to be together, so it should be a natural inclination for a wedding ( in my opinion anyway) so the this how this shoot was born. And as you probably figured, I want to show you how to have a wedding that is chic, modern, up to date ( um hello…we are almost in 2020!) and yes, go a head and have it during the Christmas Holidays, make it red and fabulous, fill the table with gold ornaments and drink that gold bubbly too.

While focusing on the colours and textures of the winter season. Used red velvet linen with velvet ribbons, sparkly glass ware by Waterford and of course the most glorious Fine China by Hermès ( all readily available for purchase at William and Ashley) layered on our in house crystal clear baroque charger plates.

I layered the table with Red tapered candles mixed with lush red roses, the glorious amaryllis and gold sprayed Magnolia Leaves. This is so sleek and on point. And of course I added Gold Holiday Ornaments (that I loved getting from Canadian Tire Holiday Collection!!) and….. we toped it all off with a mix of small bottles and large gold bottles of BOTTEGA CHAMPAGNE of course.

We were so exited to have it featured on the Elegant Wedding Blog,

thank you for the #BOSS team that made this happen - here are the links to their instagrams and as always I would love to hear what you think of it comment below. XOXOXOX. MARGO & TEAM

#1 Choose gorgeous stemware.. for a reason

Your whole entire design, is focused on the gathering, where people will be doing the talking, eating, drinking , laughing and wishing you their congrats!

#2 Do invest in stunning details…

Here we have the Tom Ford lipstick (I mean how can you not show it off?) and your signature perfume? well that is your signature scent! It must be shown off in your details photos.

#3:Remember, every detail counts,

we promise and you will see it in your photos afterwards.

Velvety ribbons, dainty greenery, beaded dresses….

we can go on..but I think you got the gist.

#4:Flowers, can also be red

Don’t be afraid of keeping with the same colour scheme, red on red on red, is very, very breathtaking.

#5: Always, have a focal point that sets the tone of your event.

Yes, do the drama, and do something that your wedding will be remembered by, like this out of this world lush florals wall.

Here is the rest of the shoot for you to enjoy….
